Got Back To Work

I am still running behind, but I have been getting some work done. I'll even have a couple of new releases next week. Okay, so for my comment winner this week, the lucky one is Brenda. Brenda, please send me an email letting me know where to send your $5 coupon. Thanks again for leaving me a comment on my blog. Thanks to all of you.

Okay, so my challenge winner for last week's challenge was Melissa. By a stroke of luck, Melissa was also my last comment winner as well. So she gets herself quite a few goodies, but that's how it works out sometimes. Congrats, Melissa. Thanks for participating. Here is a look at her layout.

I haven't forgotten about this week's challenge. For more details on the challenge itself take a look at my previous post. But I have completed a participation prize for this challenge. If you complete a layout, just send me an email after leaving your link in the comment's section. Then I'll send you the link to the participation prize. This week's prize is a paper pack.

So, if you like this paper pack, the only way to get it is to participate in this week's challenge.

Thanks to all of you for stopping by my little blog today. You all have a great weekend!

Later Than Usual

Okay, so I didn't get this done last night like I thought I would. Honestly, I tried. It just didn't work out that way. I find myself so tired in the afternoons. I'll work on it though. I'm not going to be announcing last week's challenge winner today, I'll make that announcement tomorrow. But I'm going to go ahead and post this week's challenge. I'm hosting this week.

This week we have a template challenge. No real rules, follow the template as much as you like, modify it as necessary. Any topic is allowed. And yes, I do want you to add some journaling. Not necessarily as much as on the template, but journaling would be great. Use any digital products you like and just post a link to your layouts in my comment section. Here's your template.

I will be offering a participating prize as well. I've got it completed, but haven't gotten around to packaging it yet. I'll have to post that tomorrow as well. I do apoligize for being so behind on this. Even though there is a participation prize, one layout will earn an additional prize of a $5.00 coupon to my store.

I have a freebie for you today as well.

Same rules do apply. You leave me a comment in the comment section of my blog and you could win a gift. This week's gift is a $5.00 coupon to my store.

Sorry that this is so quick, but I will have more for you tomorrow. Also, my entire store is on sale for the next couple of days for 25% off. It's my Wednesday Special.

Challenge Today

Congrats to Jennifer B for her wonderful entry into last Wednesday's challenge. You will be receiving a link to my Business Casual kit soon. But first I'm going to need your email address. If you'll just send me a little email I'll get that link to you. Enjoy! Here is a look at her winning entry.

Okay, finally I get a chance to do this. As usual it's another challenge Wednesday. The challenge this week is being hosted by Haynay. Not only is she a member of my creative team, but she's also one of the design apprentices at ScrapMatters. You'll find her work on sale at the shop. This week Haynay has decided on a template challenge. You can find the details on her blog here. The winner of this week's challenge will be receiving a $5 coupon to my store. That way you'll have you're choice of anything out of my store. Also, my products will be on sale on Wednesday for 25% off, so you'll get more for your money.

Also, since it's Wednesday I have a freebie for you. This week I have an alpha set. Please enjoy!

Don't forget to leave me a comment here on my blog and you'll be entered into a drawing to win a free download of my Business Casual kit.

Also, just to repeat. Starting from now on all my products will be on sale at the store for 25% off each Wednesday. Call it my Wednesday special. I'll try to have a nice banner for you next week. But since I made this post so late in the day, I'll extend this special until Friday.

I'm working a new schedule at work. I'll try to do better next week.

Another Friday

Goodness, this week has just been moving to fast. There has been much too much to do. Okay, the winner this week for my comment prize is EBPitcher. Congrats. You will receive a link in your email. If you have any problems with it just let me know.

I've also made a decision regarding the Challenges. I will begin to offer a participation prize next week. Most likely it will be a mini kit or something similar that will be up for sale in the store soon. Each participant in the challenge will get a free download prior to the product being placed in the store. Let's hope many of you participate to get the prize.

Also, from now on, my new releases will be placed in the store either on Wednesday or on Friday. Since those are the days that many of you visit my blog, you will be notified of each release when you stop by.

Sorry that this has been a short post, but I've just got so much going on right now. Things are changing at work for me and my posting my be later than usual. My schedule has changed so I am either going to try to make my posting the night before and let it auto publish, or the post will be made later in the day. We'll have to see how this works out next week. Wish me luck on surviving the change.

Another Challenge

Hi all, it's Challenge Wednesday once again. I'm sorry to say that there will be no winner announced for last week's challenge due to lack of participation. I've been thinking it over and I may just start to offer a participation prize. If there continues to be a lack of participation after that then I just may have to stop offering the challenge at all.

This week's challenge is being hosted by Christine (alamama). Another member of my Creative Team. She is offering a black and white photo challenge for you this week. You can head on over to her blog here. She will explain the challenge guidelines to you. The prize being offered this week is a free download of my Business Casual Kit which has been released today.

I have some other releases available at ScrapMatters this week as well.

Since I had my B alphas available in my Makeover Grab Bag I couldn't release the C alphas until they were revealed. All these items are available for sale today at ScrapMatters.

As usual, I am also offering a freebie for you today. Len Escobar, who does my QPs that are availabe in the shop has offered two of her QPs as a freebie for you. These two Quick Pages were made using my Artisit in Training kit, you may also see a couple of embellishments from some of my other kits.

Don't forget to leave me a comment here on my blog. Leave me a comment and you could win a free download of my Business Casual Kit. Also, if you leave me a comment you will either need to leave me your email address or remember to check back on Friday to see who my comment winner is. Don't forget to join in on the challenge for another chance to win the free download. Christine will be accepting challenge entries until next Tuesday. The Challenge winner will be announced on next Wednesday's post. You may also want to check back this Friday. By then I'll have made a decision about the participation prize for the challenges.

In review, leave me a comment and you may win a free download of Business Casual. Enter challenge and you may also win a free download of Business Casual. Make sure you leave us an email address so that you can be reached.

I almost forgot to mention. I also did the blog post for the ScrapMatters blog today as well. Since it's Wednesday I focused on journaling. You may want to go check it out because I offered a freebie there as well. A template and an alpha. Click on image to go to blog entry.

Friday Winner

Well, it's Friday, which means I know choose a winner for my comment free download. This week's winner is Danielle. Once again, I do not have an email for you Danielle so please email me and let me know where you want your coupon to my store to go. I've left you a comment on your blog as well.

Everyone, please don't forget to check out the weekly challenge. It's being hosted by Jennifer this week. Check out her blog, Scrappers Delight. You will find the link over to the right under my creative team. The winner of the challenge this week will be getting the contents of my Makeover Grab Bag. There was so much in there. Look Below.

So today is the day that the grab bags are taken out of the store and revealed.

When I made these previews I made a mistake for the Quick Page and Brag Book. I didn't make either of these items, my Artist kit was used. Kook Kreations by Holly made my brag book pages and once again Len Escobar made the Quick Pages. I will get these previews corrected and posted correctly in the store. Sorry ladies, I will get to that quickly. Both ladies do receive proper credit in the store description.

Also, today in the store I released my first template set under the name Digi Keepsakes. I finally got it to look the way I wanted it to. So if you like templates look at these. You can find the link to my store at the right.

Now that I've got the hang of them I intend to make them more often. Also, just so you know. These templates are availabe in PSD files as well as individual png files. Also drop shadows are included in the layer files, but each drop shadow has it's own individual layer so they are easily changed and won't interfere with your design choice.

We'll that's all for today. I think that's enough. You guys have a great weekend.

Continue On

Hi, all! Well, today is Wednesday which means challenge. But first let me reveal the winner of last week's challenge: Melissa (rsdawg97). Congrats Melissa. Unfortunately I do not have an email address for you. I'm going to look for you in the forums, but if you see this message please send me an email and I'll get you your prize links. Here is Melissa's layout:

This week's challenge will be hosted by another one of my Creative Team Members, Jennifer Kellems. Some of you may already know her from the great brag books that she has made using some of my kits. They are on sale at the ScrapMatters Store now. So for this weeks challenge she has decided on a Movie Quote Challenge. How fun is that. I know that there are a lot of movie lovers out there and those famous movie lines. You can do so much with this. The winner of this week's blog challenge will receive a free download of my MakeOver Grab Bag which is now available at the store. This grab bag contains six new, never before seen products and is work over $20. You may even start seeing sneak peaks in the gallery this week from layouts using items found in this grab bag.

So if you're interested in participating in this great challenge head right on over to Jennifer's Blog, located here.

Okay, blog challenge also means blog freebie. For this week's freebie a few of my creative team members completed some quick pages for you using my Go Fly A Kite Kit. Two of these quick pages were completed by Len Escobar who has made up the quick pages for sale at the store.

Don't forget to leave me a comment here on my blog, not my 4shared account. Leaving a comment here puts you into a drawing to win a special gift. This week's gift is a $5.00 coupon to my store at ScrapMatters. It is valid for my products only. Also, please, if you are leaving me a comment leave me an email address or at least your user name in the ScrapMatters or DST forum so that I can contact you to give you your prize. I don't want to rule out those who have not left me a means of contacting them. Last week was difficult for me since all the winners did not leave an email address. I was only able to contact two of last week's winners. Most likely I will reassign those other two prizes this week. So leave me a comment and a means to contact you. And don't forget to thank my wonderful CT for providing this great freebie for you.

Usually I would end this posting here, but I've realized that so much has happened these last couple of weeks and I haven't told you guys about any of it. It's been crazy around here. Well, my children started back at school last week. This was Jayda's first year. She started Kindergarten. She took it so well, I expected tears and all, but got none of it. She walked into her classroom and told me good-bye. Then got irritated with me while I was trying to take her picture. Her very first day of school has most definitely got to be documented. Tevin did great, but he's a big boy now. We've gone through a lot this summer and we're hoping for him to have a better year at school. Only time will tell.

I watched a lot of tv. Joshua won So You Think You Can Dance, Yay!!! I just loved him. It was actually a surprise for me. I expected Will to win, but he got eliminated earlier. He wasn't my favorite dancer, but I felt that he was the most trained. But this just makes the fact that my favorite dancer did win all the sweeter. I loved Katie as well and actually thought she would be second place, but that was not right either. Anyway, she did win her something and they will all be on tour together. Such fun.

The Olympics began. I actually didn't expect to watch the opening ceremonies, but I was flipping through the channels at my mother's house and was just amazed by the drum show and couldn't change the channel. I sat with my mom and watched the entire thing. It was so long, but absolutely amazing.

Okay, now for the greatest news. I became an aunt for the second time yesterday. My sister had her second little boy early yesterday morning. I found this out from my mom who woke me up early yesterday morning to tell me. My sister already sent us some pictures so expect some layouts later. My mom left yesterday afternoon to spend the next week or so with my sister in Florida. I have been left in charge of taking care of my dad, mainly make sure he eats everyday. We'll see how that goes.

We'll that has been my last couple of weeks in a nutshell. You guys enjoy the rest of your week. I'll be back on Friday to let you know who my comment winners are.

So Much Going On

Hi all. It's another Wednesday and that means another challenge. For last week's challenge hosted by Geri on her blog, the chosen winner is shell for her great layout.

Thanks so much for everyone who participated in this challenge. Shell you should have an email with the download links for the Go Fly A Kite kit. Enjoy!

See, that wasn't so difficult. Since we're on a roll now my wonderful Creative Team has another challenge for you. This week the challenge is being hosted by Tater. I guess you can call this a word challenge. All you have to do is go here. And Tater will explain the challenge to you herself. The winner of this challenge will get a free download to my Go Fly A Kite Kit. But since this is a special week for ScrapMatters as well and I'll have a large release at my store this weekend, you'll also get a free download to my Go Fly A Kite Quick Pages.

These wonderful quickpages along with some Brag Book Pages as well are going to be released in the store this weekend. So our lucky challege winner this week is going to have a lot to work with. Special Thanks to Len Escobar for creating these marvelous quickpages using my Go Fly A Kite Kit. She's one of those wonderful CT members I mention all the time. And really, they are an amazing bunch of ladies.

For those of you who are familar with Wednesdays you will already know that there's a freebie for you as well. So I'm not going to beat around the bush. Here it is.

I am actually horrible at making my own previews. That's why I'm so glad that ScrapMatters has one that we all have to use. I found out that Flergs was selling exclusive design previews for designers and jumped at it. I know it's probably an outrageous purchase since I'll only be using the previews for freebies, but I loved this one and had to have it. Yay me! Special Thanks to Flergs for having this wonderful idea and allowing me to purchase it.

Okay, so for you newbies here. You download my freebie and leave me a comment here on my BLOG not my 4shared account and you enter to win a chance to get a free download of my Go Fly A Kite Kit. But I'm going to change it a little this week. I'm going to choose 4 winners this week. Each winner will get a different download. 1 will recieve my full kit, 1 will get the QP Set 1, 1 will get the QP Set 2, and 1 will get the Brag Book pages. Here's a look at those Brag Book Pages.

These brag book pages were done by another great member of my Creative Team. Special Thanks to Jennifer Kellams for completing these brag book pages using my Go Fly A Kite kit.

So much going on. So don't forget. You download my freebie and leave me a comment and four of you will get a free download. This will be posted on Friday. Don't forget to leave me an email address or at least make sure to check back on Friday to see if your name was chosen.

And one last bit of news. I've mentioned that we have things going on at ScrapMatters. Take a look at this.

Another Challenge

Well, my first week trying out a challenge did not work to well. It seems that many were willing to download the template, but none quite completed the actual challenge, execpt a few of my wonderful CT Members. Thanks ladies. So that means no one won the challenge for last week, but I'm still going to give away the free download. Congrats to Liesl Larson. Thank you for you link to your layout using my Young Private kit. Brought back memories of going off to see my brother. You'll have your link in your email soon.

Okay, so we're going to try this Challenge thing again. Geri, one of my CT Members, has offered to host the challenge this week. This week it will be a quote challenge and Geri is hosting the challenge on her blog. You can find it here. The winner of this challenge will also win a free download of my Go Fly A Kite kit. I do not have another kit released at this time. There are some changes up ahead for ScrapMatters. I don't want to spoil the surprise, but soon you will all be in the know. You'll see some new things from me then.

Today I am also offering another freebie for you. The same rules apply. You leave me a comment on my blog, not my 4 shared account, and in two days I will pick a lucky person to get a free download of my kit. Simple as that. Don't forget to leave me your email address or at least check back to see who won. Here is your freebie.

In a way, this freebie is also a preview of a couple of kits that I have on the way. I hope you like it.

Now, let's take a look at some of the layouts completed by my CT using my Go Fly A Kite kit.

Tater (she used my template for last week's challenge)

Jennifer

Geri

That's all for today, but don't worry. I'll have some more for you later. I didn't want to put too many on one day. You can always check these out at the CT Gallery.

First Blog Challenge

Time for something new! My creative team and I thought that it would be fun to start offering a weekly challenge so you all could get a chance to win a free download of my latest kit. I had a new release today, so it seemed like the perfect opportunity to have our very first challenge. Since this challenge has begun on a Wednesday it will end Tuesday night of next week and then another challenge will be offered next Wednesday. Me and the ladies of my creative team will take turns hosting these great challenges for you. I will begin it all with a template challenge. Easy, I know.

Sorry, this template is no longer available.

This is the template for this week's challenge. Basically you follow the template as much as possible, but be creative with it. You can flip it and add all the embellishments you want. Also, for this layout I need for you to document a moment in which you felt proud, either for yourself or someone else. Not to hard, is it? Also, once you completed a layout you need to leave a comment at the bottom of this blog entry with a link so that we can all look at it. The link should be to your own personal gallery in flickr or photobucket, etc, or it can be a link at the ScrapMatters Gallery or Digi Shop Talk.

Here is what I came up with. My brother went through basic training last year during his summer break. Came out an army man.

Last year I also release my most popular freebie to date. It was called In the Army Now. It was in honor of my brother's basic training. This year he went off to AIT so that's another graduation ceremony that I have to go to. Well, in this year I have grown as a designer and decided to update the freebie. I offer this kit to you. It is called Young Private. There are much more elements in the actual kit than pictured in the preview.

Download 1 ***Corrected Link***

Download 2

For those of you who downloaded my last freebie, you already know this. But for you guys who did not participate last week, here is a review. If you download any of my freebies and leave me a comment here on this blog, you will be entered into a drawing to win a free download of my latest kit to be released. Also, it would be helpful if you left an email link, or at least remembered to check back in two days to see who wins the download. Since there are actually two separate downloads to this freebie, I will randomly pick two lucky winners to my latest kit, Go Fly A Kite. Here's a look.

Goodness, I have a lot of things going on today. So let's review. Template challenge, leave a link to your layout in my comments section. One lucky winner could win a free download to my latest kit. Download Freebie. Leave a comment. Two more will win a free download. So for today's activities, three people have a chance to win a free download of Go Fly A Kite. Not too confusing I hope. For the challenge participants you have until Tuesday, July 29 to leave a link. For Freebie Getters you have until Friday, July 25th to leave a comment.

We'll that's all for today. Everyone enjoy!
